He attended both Travis and Crockett HS. A pioneer in the scene, he started painting in the 80's. He is a true wildstyle graffiti writer. Louie aka Remote has painted alongside SKAM, the original writer of the Austin graffiti scene. There have been times in Louie’s life that the odds stacked up against him. Yet time and time again he overcame the turbulence and pulled through. His pillar of strength is his wife Khristel and family. Throughout the years he would go out & paint walls with a determination to advance his style. Most recently his skills have been focused on repurposing spray cans “Scrap Can Collectables”. Not a single design created by Louie is duplicated, it is each one-of-a kind. Louie has stayed true to the originality of graffiti and his dedication has led him to be recognized as one of Austin’s most respected pioneers in the scene. His most recent accomplishment is having one of Scrap Can Collectables at West Chelsea Contemporary Gallery exhibit ICONS + VANDALS ATX. This is an extraordinary accomplishment for anyone, especially for a Southside Austin kid.
